I read an article that talked about future legal issues with 3D printing and potential regulation. Sharing intellectual files (3d models) seems like it could be pretty easy to do. Have you guys heard much about this?

Some people called the 3D world the next napster. Sharing digital files is pretty easy once you have them! Altering them would also be easy to do with some basic modeling skills. I think artists are going to have to lean on the Creative Commons licenses to defend against some of these "threats", but what happens if someone still steals work? What if they just alter it? It's difficult to decipher what should and shouldn't happen.

I heard about a gunsmith creating the lower receiver (the only part of a certain assault rifle that can't be bought over the couter) to an AR-15. Check the article out here.
