TOPIC: How fine does 3D printing go?

How fine does 3D printing go? 13 Years ago message Karma: 0
I know that 3D printing can produce fine scale products, but I was thinking about designing a very intricate Sea Urchin. Can a 3D printer make something this fine scale?

I'm pretty sure that you could do that through 3D printing

You could definitely print something that precise, 3D printing allows for very detailed figurines. If you created the print out of a fragile material, it may be subject to break, but that is the only issue.

I wonder how well 3D printing would compete with all of the warhammer games, and table top model games.

Kraftwurx Objet Vero materials such as VeroWhite, VeroBlu, and Fullcure720 Amber Clear will hold the detail necessary for small table-top gaming miniatures. Kraftwrux plans to add more even high-detail capable materails soon. These new materials hold far greater detail than any miniatures produced by traditional methods could hold.

So yes, you can print figures at 40mm high and expect fantastic detail from the Verowhite, VeroGrey, VeroBlue.

I ve been looking for the VeroWhite, VeroBlu, and Fullcure720 Amber Clear in the list of mateirals but I ve not found it..

I m also actually preparing a figurine with very small details (human size: 28mm) and I hope you will have the best marial for this job ^^

By now, I was looking the description of your differents materials and it s difficult to know what have the best quality of detail
You says precious metals have exceptional details, the Nano serie have hight details, and the Sub-surface Vero have beautifull details.
On your video (youtube) I ve seen ring in Nano and it was really impressive but I can t comparre for choose the most detailled for a figurine ^^

Would you help me please?
